It all started from Body Positive Movement
Ever since the first plus-size model appeared in the advertisement of Victoria’s Secret under its rebranding campaign in 2019, the Ferris wheel of body positive movement that advocates inclusivity and diversity has never stopped spinning among the Western community.
The momentum continues, but the representation of plus-size body types is still a rarity in Asia, where traditional beauty standards are still the norm and inclusiveness is ignored. In our opinion, we need to give plus-size models more chances that they deserve to showcase their beauty to further advocate for the body-positive movement.
Build a Stage for Curvy Beauties in Asia
With this belief in mind, “ChubbyChubby Model Management“ was founded in 2021 as the first model agency in Asia dedicated to plus-size models. Initiated by Pinocchio Communications, a full-service branding, marketing and PR agency in Hong Kong which believes in the magic of "Marketing for Good", ChubbyChubby has a natural edge with abundant commercial resources and connections to explore opportunities of all kinds for “Chubby Beauties”, such as modelling jobs for runway, TV commercial, print AD, editorial, event, fitting, makeup, or acting opportunities for movie, microfilm, music video, online video, drama, or even simply product seeding collaboration.
